Just 1 number away from winning the Megabucks!

Guy came out on the deck the other day with his Megabucks tickets in one hand and newspaper in the other. He smiled as he handed me the paper and proudly said "I think we just won $40.00, here check the numbers again for me.". I did and agreed we had 4 of the 6 numbers.

A couple of days went by and he decided to cash in our winnings at the local filing station. He called me from there and said..we were wrong...we didn't have 4 numbers...we had 5! Instead of winning $40.00 bucks, we won a $1000.00......We had both missed that 5th number...

We're certainly happy with the winnings. (It will help Guy's depleted Boat Fund)..and are not trying to think just how close we came to winning the $600,000.00 jackpot.

Hannah & Spencer spend the day with Grammie

Hannah & Spencer decided to take a day off from Daycare and spend the day with me. First we took a swim, then decided to take in a movie. "Underdog" was a great choice..it was both exciting and funny. We munched on pizza and Reece's Pieces. After the show, we headed back home for another swim in the pool. Nichole and Mia sat outside with us and chatted for awhile.

Glad we could enjoy the day together before the school semester begins...

The Crane's enjoy Sea-bbatical Cruise

Guy's Director of Sales, Russell Crane and family drove up from Billerica, Ma. to enjoy a cruise on Casco Bay on Tuesday. It was another picture perfect Maine day.

They lunched at Peaks Island Inn and then the boys enjoyed diving off the pier.

Lobsters on their way

The Lobsters are on their way...(and oh, Cecile too:) Instructions are for Gary to buy red potatoes and corn for tomorrow night's dinner.

Just left Cecile at the airport and their flight is on schedule. Hopefully she will have a safe and pleasant trip back to Portland, Oregon.

We had a great visit...but, boy oh boy, the time sure flew. Sorry Gary couldn't make the trip with her....maybe next time.

Dining at The Salt Water Grille

It was the perfect way to end a perfect day. Cecile treated us to dinner at The Salt Water Grille. The view was spectacular and meal superb. Cecile enjoyed a Lobster Saute, while Guy & I had grilled prime rib and a steak.

The view from the restaurant of the Portland skyline and marina was breathtaking...a beautiful Maine scene.

Carolyn & Sid's new home

We took a trip up to Lisbon Falls to see Carolyn & Sid's new modular home that was delivered last week. It's made by Maple Leaf in Canada. Debi & Dwight's is on the right hand side of Carolyn's...the 3 car garages are to be delivered in the next few weeks.

Great day to visit Chandler's Cove

Saturday it turned hot and muggy and where to go to cool off? Guy took us out on Sea-bbatical on Casco Bay and we ended up in Chandler's Cove where we enjoyed Bleu cheeseburgers and potato salad.

Cecile visits Maine

Cecile arrived late Tuesday night. We had reservations for a back facial, pedicure and manicure on Wednesday morning, so Cecile had to get up at the "crack of dawn" (10AM EST) She agreed it was well worth giving up sleep time for this and in fact, would do it every day if the end result could be the same.

After lunch and a cocktail at Ruby Tuesday's, we somehow managed a little shopping and then headed home to "crash".

Thursday afternoon we managed a little more shopping time...Friends of Joni & Guy stopped by and we all went to The Village for dinner.

Friday was another rough day of massages..this time a wonderful facial. Then to Freeport, checking out LL Bean's and The Desert of Maine. We took the tour around the desert and were amazed at how much it has changed.
