We've landed in Maine and we've finally stopped running....

We've landed in Maine, with both feet on the ground and running.....We arrived in Maine on Wednesday, April 29th about noon....it seemed strange to come home and walk through the house and then the fun began....unloading, doing laundry, trying to put everything back in its place.

We left on Friday, May 1st heading to Boston to take a plane to Reno, NV where Guy's USS Brownson Reunion took place. We got home from the Reunion about 3AM on Friday, May 8th.

At 7AM the next day we drove to New London, NH to attend Andrew's Graduation from Colby- Sawyer.

We figured that the past 11 days, we have travelled approx. 9000 miles!!

Somehow, I have managed to download these pictures out of order....Oh well!!

On our way home, we stayed in Fairfax, Va. one night and as we drove through this beautiful city, we couldn't help but admire all the gorgeous spring flowers, shrubs and trees. This one was especially lovely...in fact I have it as my background on my desktop now.

Andrew's Graduation from Colby-Sawyer. We are so proud of him....and cannot believe the time has passed so quickly (probably not for him though:) Sadly, Nichole is in Philadelphia and couldn't be there to help celebrate with the rest of the family.

Andrew and Ellen

Ellen's Family joined us to help celebrate their accomplishments.
What a fun Family they are...
Mother's Day...Julie had me over for Brunch and some Wi...
Meg joined us....she's the accomplished guitar player...

I tried the drums and couldn't stop laughing long enough
to get co-ordinated....
It was a blast.....
Our trip to Reno....After coming back from sunny, warm Florida,
we were really looking forward to some more sunshine...
Maine was still cold and dreary and Reno proved to be the same.
We took an excursion on a Paddle Boat Cruise on Lake Tahoe.

Looks like we were in Alaska instead of NV...
and it felt like it too...
Guy, myself, Barbara and Nick Miller
Beautiful scenery....
Then we got off the cruise boat and headed to the bus...
This is who we saw behind the wheel....
It took a minute for it to register who was the "driver"
and I laughed and laughed....
How did I ever end up marrying such a character??
We stayed at Harrah's..and ate in CafeNapa
most of the time......
Here's me with Jack Richardson and Ray Hearthley
The next day we took a tour bus to Virginia City.
I couldn't believe the road we had to take up over the mountains
to get there. I was sitting by the window because Guy couldn't
look out of the window down below....

Virginia City was an old mining town and they have kept
the surroundings in the same condition they were back in the 1800's.
We took a short train ride to see some of the old mines...

The streets are paved but the sidewalks are still wooden and uneven....

Anyone have a sweet tooth? This is the store to visit!

Coming back down off the moutain was just as spectacular!

Back in the city, we ventured out for a look around.
Not as busy or nearly as big as Las Vegas,
there were still plenty of gambling halls and shows to see.
The last night was the banquet...
