Here are some "fun" facts I've gathered to quickly summarize our winter adventure and then move on to reality in Maine.
We were gone for a total of 114 days.
We were in Cocoa Beach for 91 days.
We drove a total of 9096 miles.
We went through 14 States.
We made 9 trips to Orlando Airport, for a total of 810 miles.
We entertained 32 people, 17 of whom stayed a least 1 overnight.
We saw 2 shuttles and 1 satellite launched.
We visited Kennedy Space Center 4 times.
We saw 0 snowflakes!:)
We have established some sort of routine since we've been home....this is what we've been up to since April 12th... (certainly not as exciting as our winter months....)
We both spent the better part of May being sick. Guy fought another round of bronchitis and I've managed to catch it also along with the flu. It's been a rough couple of weeks and thankfully now we are both on the mend.
Guy started his little part time job a couple of weeks ago. He's delivering parts for Quirk Chevrolet 3 days a week. Not going to become rich with it, but it will give him some extra cash to help expenses with the boat this season....guess I don't have to mention, it will be a little on the expensive side with gas this summer....we'll be spending a lot of time (along with everyone else) enjoying our boat at the Marina. The 2008 boating season is almost in full swing and Guy has been spending every spare minute working on Seabbatical. There is so much to do before it all gets put together and it is able to be launched.
I swear he's been sanding and staining for 2 weeks now...there must be 10 coats on the platform and stairs...I have to admit, it looks pretty spiffy!
Waiting for the Marina to repair the damage done last year is quite stressful to Guy. His launch date is June 4th and he's hoping and praying it gets done in time.
I've been enjoying my Sewing room and have made several projects....this one is a table runner for the Dining room table.
Made a quilt for Nichole...she's moved into a new place yesterday and will be staying in the Orono area this summer working and taking classes...will be graduating sometime in August.
Made myself a tote bag to carry one of my smaller cutting boards along with some rulers and rotary cutters etc....will make it easier to pick up and go to my quilting groups.
Found this pattern in one of my quilting magazines, so made 3 of them. This is a spare...who knows who will end up with this one.
Made this quilt for Melinda. She gave me this fabric last year...it was a project she was going to do herself, but never found the time.....so I made it up for her...(along with a matching pillowcase)
