We're home after an awesome Cruise on Celebrity's Solstice. This ship was Inaugurated in 2008/2009 season...has an occupancy of 2850 guests...Tonnage is 122,000...Length 1033 feet...Beam 121 feet...Draught 27 feet and a cruising speed of 24 knots.
We travelled 2299 nautical miles. The weather was fantastic...from days in the low 70's to low 90's. We made 4 Ports of Call.
And believe it or not, we only gained a few pounds each....and went as long as 20 minutes without eating!!!!
They were exceptionally organized...it only took us a few minutes to check in and a very short wait to disembark....and for those of you who have cruised before, this can be a nightmare!
When we sailed into Ft. Lauderdale on Sunday, there was a noticeable change in temperature. We felt a drop of 20 degrees.....
It was a great trip and we got through Christmas without our Family and Friends quite easily...in fact, we may do it again next year!!!
