Animal Kingdom & Downtown Disney

Wednesday morning we headed over to Animal Kingdom..
Neither one of us had ever been there...Hopped on the safari train to see the wildlife....

We then took the train ride over to see
the exhibts...

How brave my Husband is!!
Actually the exhibts were very interesting...
Wish I had taken pictures, but I was too
intent on listening to the talks...
A Vet Tech explained to us how they take care of the animals..
It's amazing how much they invest in taking care of them
from periodic checkups to daily meds, procedures.
She explained how they do surgery and showed
some of the equipment they used.
Tree of Life
After walking 6 hours in the park, we were so exhausted,
we caught the bus back to the Hotel for a little R&R.
Guess who forgot his bathing suit, so we didn't jump
in the pool like I hoped we would....
Instead dangled our feet in the water while sipping on
a cold brew.....For those in the Northeast don't read the next line....
The weather was sunny and 84 degrees!
Walked across the street to Downtown Disney early that evening...

No comment.....just what can you say about this photo anyway???

Wish Sam & Spencer (Nichole too) were with us...
We went into a Lego store...
Unbelievable what they have done with Legos here....

Decided to eat at Fulton's Crab House for dinner....
Guy ordered the Alaskan King Crab Dinner...
I was going to have the steak, but it cost $49.95 for an 8oz.
piece...and an extra $5.00 for a dumb potato!!!
I was so mad, I ordered soup and salad instead...
and then when Guy's meal arrived, he had 3 red potatoes
on his plate!!!! GRRRRRRR
they didn't cut open his crab legs, and he had
quite a time getting to them....
He was so frustrated....Guess we should have
eaten at McDonald's!!!
Note to Mainers....the people at the next table ordered a
Maine Lobster for $50.00
