The World is just outside our doorstep!

Well, we are finally settled, after arriving on Friday.
We stopped in Port Orange to visit with Jerry and Joyce for an hour or so
and arrived at our Condo about 1:30 Friday afternoon.
We had friends there, guiding us into our parking spot
and helping unload the van, which was such a big help!
John was amazed that we brought more than 3 pair of shorts...

and Arlyn was amazed at how much actually came out of that vehicle!

"The World" arrived shortly after we did.
It is a "condo" on the water that continually
travels around the world. The least expensive condo is an average of 1100 sq. ft.
that has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. (which runs about $2090.00 per sq. ft.)
It houses 4 gourmet restaurants, a delicatessan and numerous shops.
It resembles a 12 deck Wedding Cake the length of 2 football fields and
the width of an ice hockey rink. It has about 252 crew members
and 550 guest residents. Google it....the stats will boggle your mind.

Saturday, Guy left with a couple of his friends, headed to Cocoa Beach
to watch the Thunderbirds. I stayed behind and got things organized!
(I think he owes me one, don't you?)

Actually, the beach was quite hot....I was probably better off in the condo, with the air conditioner on.....right???
Sunday, we headed to Patrick to do grocery shopping and needed to stock our shelves with staples.
We drove around and came upon the Thunderbirds all lined up...
and they eventually took off.....
Monday, was Water Aerobics....and getting to see many of my friends that I hadn't seen since last April. Most of the snowbirds won't be here until the 1st of the year, so it still is quite quiet around here....

No one will be surprised to hear that we've been having lots of computer problems!
Thankfully, John (the mover) spent Monday afternoon switching wires, making phone calls, and finally hooking us up to the Internet...Little did he know that he saved Guy from having a heart attack and saving our marriage!
John (the mover and computer geek) helped Guy hang our sign!
Guy did look a little impressive holding that tool, though, didn't he?
Not to worry...as soon as John turned around and saw what he had in his hand, he took it from him before anything dangerous happened....
If a hurricane comes our way, the building may not still be standing,
but that sign will....

A yearly ritual....the assembling of the infamous Palm Tree!
and the yearly ritual of %$#@^& words while it's being put together.

and this year we bought a new pole and flag.
Oh please Lord! let it hang correctly this year...
Chef John (alias the computer geek, mover, handyman)
Linda and John invited us over to their place for an Octoberfest dinner.
It was actually in November, (but we didn't mention the date discrepancy)
It was delicious John....I think we should rename him
John the Wizard!
So I am finally updating the blog....
and hope to be able to on a weekly routine.
