Friday - Stirrup Cay in Bahamas

We arrived at Norwegian's Island, Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas on Friday morning....
We took a tender to the Island after a leisurely breakfast on the ship

Guy took a walk around the Island and found many interesting rock formations....

We made friends with a couple from the UK, Norman and Marie...

 One of my favorite pictures....
the clouds drew dark and we could see the storm  coming....
we made it back to the ship before it arrived...
many people didn't!

Our afternoon appetizer arrived on schedule...
We joined Norman and Marie for dinner, went to the show and back to our room to do final packing for disembarkment the next day.
Review of Cruise:
Lesson learned: next time check school vacation schedule and do not
book a cruise when Spring Break is happening.....
Our 1st Norwegian Cruise rated a 6.5 from me and a 7.0 from Guy.
The shows were good, we enjoyed the FreeStyle Dining..it was nice to just be able to walk in any of the dining rooms without a reservation...didn't have to "dress up" if we didn't choose to....the down side was that, except for 2 times, we sat by ourselves instead of being able to join others and get to meet new people.
The dinner selections were repetitive and food was "OK" ...we also found that the Buffets were of the same quality.
The Ship was clean, the Waitstaff were friendly, along with our Butler and Concierge.....room was terrific, bed very comfy:)
What made the cruise was we had the VIP treatment....
we had reserved seats right up front for the evening show
we could eat in the VIP Dining room for breakfast and lunch
we were escorted off the ship first at every port
we had appetizers brought to our cabin every afternoon

It was a fun 7 days, now we're back from our "vacation"
and into "retirement" again....
thinking about packing up in a couple of weeks and making
the long drive home to Maine....

Your cruise sounds divine ... how could you go wrong with VIP treatment! I LOVE your favorite shot of the hammock between the two palm trees blowing in the breeze. It's what we call in our family "frameable"!
