Rescue at sea

Sharon & Mike joined us for a cruise on Wednesday.
When we got back to the Marina, we fired up the grill and had a bite to eat.
Halfway through the meal, Guy spotted a lady in a dingy that appeared to be in trouble.
He & Mike put their food aside, jumped in Seabatt and took off to help.
The Damsal in distress turned out to be a young lady who decided to take a little spin
and then her motor quit on her. She had no life jacket, paddle or inspection sticker. She was trying to paddle with her hands and was being blown out into the harbor.
They towed her back to her marina and even though Guy promised her he wouldn't give her a lecture, the Coast Guard training in him wouldn't let her go without a little safety sermon.
Hopefully she took it to heart and updated her equipment.
The skies became overcast and a storm squall quickly blew through the area.

Explorer of the Seas has been in port all day with over 3000 passengers going ashore and helping the local economy.

It is berthed right across the bay and we have a wonderful view of it.
Here it is starting to leave the pier, heading to Boston.

It appears closer to the Marina than it actually is, but still an awesome sight.

Some day Ken and I want to come for a sail on your boat! We're thinking this is your favorite time of year . . . at least Guy's favorite time of year.
