Veterans Day

On Guy's daily trek down to the Port, he came back all excited to have spotted
a new USCG replacement for the 41'. He believes that civilian personnel were
out testing it....and who is going to contradict that story? This on the other hand is pure fact....
It is the USNS Wally Schirri new supply ship.
689' long
106' beam
30' draft
20 knots
Commissioned in March 2009
It is so massive, we can see it from our kitchen window ...
At night when lite, it looks like a small city...
This is the JROTC at Cocoa Beach High School
with presentation of colors on Veterans Day...
Ceremony was very touching and brought a tear or
two to Guy's eye....
Meanwhile, I was at the Welcome Back Lunch Bunch Luncheon
at Cocoa Village. There were only 10 of us....
Most of the snowbirds won't arrive until after
the Holidays....

Carolyn and her sister Heather joined us for Happy Hour
at our Condo this evening. The girls are visiting from
Chateauguay, Montreal, PQ for a meeting....they will be moving
back down after Christmas with their husbands.
