It started out a little cloudy, but then the sun came out and we all jumped in our bathing suits for a little sun bathing! Even Guy got in the act (for about 20 minutes) and put on the old sun screen, took his socks and hat off and enjoyed a few of the rays. By noon, it was HOT and we'd wisely decided we'd had about enough of the sun and took cover. By the end of the afternoon, it got darker and we knew we were running into a storm.....It thundered and lightened and the rain came and the seas got really choppy...for about half an hour and we sailed right out of the bad weather.....
Little did we know about that same time, Cocoa Beach was experiencing a tornado. Thankfully, it was not a real powerful one, but enough to rip off the roof of one of the condos down the beach from us. I was so thankful we were not there to experience it. Our neighbors said it went up the beach in front of our condo...way too close for comfort for me! No damage to our place.....
