Kepler Rocket streaks toward orbit

The search in other solar systems for planets similar to Earth took flight late Friday as NASA's Kepler telescope darted toward orbit on Delta II rocket.

The 12 story United Launch Alliance vehicle blasted off at 10:49PM from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station's Launch complex 17B, illuminating the sky with a trail of fire that angled over the Atlantic Ocean.

And we had a birds eye view from our balcony. It was the most awesome launch we have viewed so far.....we could feel the rumble and hear the engines roar....how lucky we were to be able to experience this.....
