Day One of Diva Week

Out Diva Week started on Saturday with Char D picking me up at the Cape and off we went to Orlando. Dropped off our bags at the Sheraton Vistana Resort and Villas. Then to the Orlando Airport to pickup the other 2 Divas. The airport tunnel was shut down so the detours to get around the terminal were a challenge. When we got back to the Resort to check in, we discovered that they had given our room to someone else in error. That's when the fun began....eventually it all got straighened out and we got in a room.
A quick tour around the complex and we were ready for food! We had a wonderful steak dinner combo at Lone Star. Then back to our room, got in our PJ's, and watched TV or read.

Sunday morning, after a leisurely breakfast of "Mystery" Bread, coffee and juice we set out to get tickets to see Cirque Du Soleil's "Nouba" at Downtown Disney.

The guy at the ticket booth was super friendly and quite entertaining....
We got super good seats for the evening show on Wednesday...in fact, we have an entire Diva Row all to ourselves.

We spent the afternoon at Lake Eola Farmers Market. The sun came out and off came our jackets. We strolled around, enjoying all the sights, checking out all the booths.
A dancing group from Columbia entertained the crowds...

A Spirit Woman from Puerto Rico performed a TuTu (Voodo) on another older lady. Her "spirits" were chased out of her body and she was cured!

Charlene and I enjoyed the best corn-on-the-cob ever!

Then we tried food from several food vendors. My favorite was the Chicken-Cheese-Tomato Crepe...all the food was yummy.
We lucked out on our way back to the Hotel as the Orlando Magic was playing at the Amway Center and we timed it so we went through the area before the crowds started arriving.
Spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying the pool. It felt so good to paddle around in the warm water and then lay in the sun,,
It doesn't get any better than this! Wonder what tomorrow will bring....

What a great way to catch up with friends. The corn on the cob looks scrumptious!
