Bruins Win the Stanley Cup!

In my "former life", belive it or not, I was an avid Hockey Fan.

We lived only 45 minutes away from Montreal, and traveled there frequently to watch the games.

We literally took our life in our hands when we would cheer for the Bruins when they would be playing the Montreal Canadians.

This was back in the #4 Bobby Orr and #7 Phil Esposito days.

Recently, I got involved in the game again as my Granddaughter Meg would be watching the game. She would come over and we would watch the games, her updating me with the rules and regs which I had forgotten over the years.....

When the Bruins made it to the playoffs this year, I was hooked!

We wore the Bruins shirts and cheered them on!

Then the last game of the series was in Vancouver and they were tied...it was a do or die game and the stakes were high.

Meg spent hours making Bruins cupcakes and we agreed that each time our team scored, we would eat a cupcake! Well, that lasted for the first 3 goals...we just couldn't force that last goal cupcake down!

it was a fantastic game and a super evening!

Can't wait for next season to begin....
