Road Trip to visit Gracie

Meg and I decided we couldn't wait until the Christening in August to see Gracie, so we made a quick road trip to Vermont.

Stopped in North Conway to stretch our legs and wandered into one of my favorite shops "Zeb's General Store". As we wandered up and down the aisles, we bought some salt water taffy, sour chewies to chomp on as we traveled on through New Hampshire into Vermont.

as we passed Mt. Washington Hotel, I told Meg the story of how my friend Cecile and I stayed there a few years ago and the fun we had.

After missing a turn, we finally arrived in Fairfield, picked up Melinda and off to Gracie's house we went.

I know, I know..all babies are beautiful, but this one is especially beautiful. We just couldn't seem to keep our hands off her, passing her back and forth as she slept through our visit, barely uttering a peep!

Great Aunt Julie sent along these sandals for her, they looked so sweet, but don't think she'll get much use out of them...they just barely fit her....You'll have to save them for the next baby, Jenn....

Oh, look! she opened her eyes!

After our visit, we returned to Melinda's house where we played a game of Aggrevation while trying to keep track of the Bruins game.

After sorting through my Christmas stash, I found a few Snowmen decorations to add to Mel's collection....

Back to see Gracie before we headed back to Maine.

It was a real quick trip, but a successful one.

We gave our seal of approval and agreed that Gracie is a Keeper!
