Deep Sea Fishing today...

Before I begin today's blog...there have been several people who have asked where all the previous blogs have disappeared to....If you check the right hand side of the screen...under Archives, you can click onto any of the former blogs....Glad that there is interest in viewing them....

Today's wildlife picture was taken by Andrew as he and Ellen were waiting to board the Orlando Princess Deep Sea Fishing Charter. GF dropped them off in Port Canaveral to do some serious fishing on a 65' Cat which left at 10:30 and returned later at 4:30.

These are not actual terrorists....just Andrew and Ellen...you would never believe that they came down from New Hampshire (enjoying Spring Break from Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH) to enjoy the warm Florida sunshine, would you? They're bundled up like they're still in the Northeast. Actually, the temps were in the mid 70's here today, but out in the Atlantic, the winds were a little on the brisk side.

OK...here goes....more fishing stories!
Q) Did you catch anything?
A) Technically, yes, but no pictures to prove anything.
Q) What did you catch?
A) Well, Ellen caught a plastic bag...she did have a fish on her line, I think it was a shark, but it got away! (now..didn't we hear something similar earlier in the week?)
Q) Anything else interesting out there?
A) Oh, we saw a 4' Sea Turtle.
Q) Any pictures?
A) Nope
Q) Anything else?
A) A lizard fish...it was real ugly!
Q) any pictures?
A) Nope
BUT they did get some interesting pictures of NASA towing in one of the two pieces of the external fuel tank that was jettisoned from Endeavor shuttle 120 miles at Jacksonville on Tuesday morning.....
They will be delivered to NASA at KSC for refurbishing and will be used again on another shuttle.

Andrew and Ellen wanted to take us out to dinner tonight....they told us to pick somewhere where we haven't gone before.
To backtrack a little bit, when we first picked up the kids in Orlando, Ellen said one of the things she wanted to do was to go to a SONIC.....Well, we had never even heard of the SONIC chain, but checked the internet when we got home to see where they were located.
To make a short story long, we decided that we'd track down one of these SONIC places and we'd go to dinner there.....we programmed it into our GPS and unknown to either of the kids, we started out. They thought we were headed to CARABBAS....all of a sudden, Ellen screamed out "SONIC".....just as our GPS lady told us we had arrived at our destination.....We pulled into the drive-in restaurant and Ellen got hysterical!!!! (I think she's still laughing) She was sooooo excited!!! Once we got her under control, she managed to tell us, NO...we want to take you out to a nice dinner place.......
SONIC'S reminded me of the old A&W Drive-ins they had way back in my day.....Note the Carhop Crossing sign.

We ended up enjoying a great dinner at Carrabbas, after promising Ellen we'd come back tomorrow for lunch:)
