Melinda arrived from Vermont at 10:45 AM...just a few minutes after her sister left. It wasn't long before she shed her winter slacks for a cool pair of shorts....We went to lunch at "Coconuts" and then for a long walk on the beach. The surf was pretty heavy and there were dozens of jelly fish that had been washed up on the beach...they are a pretty aqua color, but can be quite painful if you should step on them....needless to say, we skipped along, missing them all")
Today, was a "weird" day....nice hot sun earlier (while Mel caught up on her sleep..) and as soon as she got up, cloud cover was heavy and the winds picked up significantly. After lunch, Guy took us for a tour of Patrick Air Force Base....we ended up in the commisary so we could replenish our liquor stock and also remembered we needed food too. By the time we got back to the Condo, they were calling for strong storms....which again ended up missing us.....so we fixed ourselves a Coconut and Pineapple beverage and watched the surfers play in the waves...How much better can life get??
Ben was visiting his other Grandparents in New Smyrna Beach and had planned to come down and spend a day or two with us, but he was enjoying golfing with Papa. We understand he made a 310 yard drive with his new driver, coming 3' from making a hole in one. Atta way Tiger!
So when he told us he and Papa had more golfing planned, we understood why he decided to stay there with them.....Maybe next year Ben...
