Wednesday was a beautiful beach day and Mel and I enjoyed our share of the sunshine on the beach this afternoon. We were beginning to pickup and head in when we heard a tremendous "BANG" and then saw a huge puff of smoke, followed by sirens just seconds later.
There was a 3 car accident on A1A South that knocked out the power for 5 hours. Thankfully, it was turned back on in time before dark set in.....but too late to start cooking a big dinner....Poor Guy..he had to have Hot Dogs for supper:(

Thursday was another day for soaking up that sunshine and we did for a couple of hours before the clouds floated overhead and chased us inside.
A helicopter from Patrick's flew by, circled around and began survival exercises right in front of our Condo. This helicopter was practicing search and rescue manuavers by hovering 50' off the water, deploying a rescue harness and holding this position for 5 minutes at a time. It made us all remember that fantastic movie about the Coast Guard "The Guardian". They were out there for about an hour and then headed back to the AFB. Amazing!

Guy was ready to take Melinda on a tour of Cocoa Beach. His first stop is always "The Pier".

When we got home, it was time to start fixing dinner! Melinda volunteered to make one of her specialties..Chicken Cordon Bleu. ...... but.....I didn't have a meat tenderizer....so she improvised by banging the crap out of the chicken with the bottom of a saucepan on the deck.
The lady who lives beneath us, hollored up to see what was happening! Melinda just assured her she was just fixing dinner....I'm sure Pat wondered what we were having that required so much noise.
